Ziva is 3 month, 13.5 lbs, and is still growing. She enjoys playing with other dogs. She's teething so she bites anything and everything. She would do better with older children. Tucker is a 1-year-old, 12-pound chihuahua mix who is very snuggly and loves to play! He is a medium energy dog and settles down nicely for a nap (preferable in a sunny slot!) after he’s had some time to run around. He loves other dogs and would be best suited in a home with another one he can play with (he does fine with big and small dogs). Meet Tilly. She is a beautiful, double Merle Aussie (Double Merle Australian Shepard), estimated to be between 8 months and 1 year old. She is SUPER sweet, loves to be cuddled and pet. Tilly is a submissive pup with a wonderful disposition. She is a great size at ~40lbs. She loves to play with other dogs (not sure about cats), but loves her human(s) time just as much - if not more! Tilly is also hearing impaired (special needs), but do NOT think for a minute that slows this girl down. She is extremely smart and since she can’t hear you, she makes lots of eye contact to help her to assess how she’s doing and what’s going on around her e.g. when she goes potty outside, etc. For this reason, she gets anxious when left alone as she relies on, and looks for cues (facial/hands) from her handler. She responds well to praise (e.g. ear rubs, pats on the back - thumbs up and lots of smiles to reward/teach her when she does good). She would excel in an environment where the person or family is either versed in or interested in taking the time to work with a special needs pup like Tilly i.e. to teach her ASL - sign language. She would undoubtedly pick it up quickly and it would be fun to learn it together - for those not familiar with her special need. Tilly will make for a wonderful companion as she is like a shadow once she learns you’re her Human. She wants nothing more than to be by your side and have you in her line of sight. He had a broken leg, but we could tell right away that he had a heart of gold. His leg is healing very nicely, and he is out of his cast now. Like all puppies, she is fine-tuning her house training skills. She will go potty outside when you take her and is consistently using puppy pads in the house. Sierra doesn't seem to be interested in chewing on anything other than toys (whew!). She is working on her puppy manners, including not barking at new people (it's an emerging skill). And, she has already learned to sleep nicely in her crate at night (score!). Sierra had a case of puppy strangles a condition that affected her skin but she is on the mend and will be all better soon!! It isn't a skin allergy so no worries it will NOT come back.
