Benny is the sweetest boy. He is quiet and chill. Benny is super loyal and loving he LOVES affection and cuddles with you. He adores playing with toys, and he seems to love EVERY person he meets and every dog he meets! Keeps his crate dry for the most part, but he’s lived outside all of his life so he just needs a little love patience and routine. He would be an amazing family member even with children. He plays with one of our Chihuahua's at the rescue and he is gentle and sweet with his Chi buddy! Happy go lucky and gentle...whoever adopts him will be incredibly lucky! Are you the lucky family to give this sweet boy the love he deserves? Adoption Fee is $350 He is up to date on vaccines and has had a wellness exam, heart worm tested, fecal test, and micro-chipped. • Chihuahua, Miniature Pinscher
  • Up-to-date with routine shots
Gigi is a 16lb mix of sweet, shy, and smart. She is approximately 2 years old so she is full grown and out of her “puppy” stage. She loves humans but only her humans. She gets fairly shy and timid around strangers. Due to her size and shyness, she would do best with older children in the home. No small children. She gets along with other dogs but wants so much human attention that she will probably do best as the only dog. She is 100% paper trained. She has not mastered going potty on grass yet in her foster home. We think she will make a great apartment dog because of her size and paper training. She does have some separation anxiety so being at home with Gigi often is very important. Her foster mom thinks she is the absolute bees knees…she’ll make anyone feel loved. Are you ready to provide the loving home Gigi deserves? Adoption Fee is $350 She is up to date on vaccines and has had a wellness exam, heart worm tested, fecal test, and micro-chipped. Applications are required before meeting a dog. To fill out an application go to http://caninehumane.org/adoption-application/ or call 888-436-2236. Bixby is a total love. He came to CHN via SC where he was found as a stray and ended up in a high kill shelter. He gets along with many of the pups at the rescue and loves all people...big and small. He really is a gentle soul. He is awesome on a leash and his kennel is always clean. He LOVES when he gets to hang with the staff in the kitchen of the rescue. He ADORES this long green snake toy we have in our play area! He is not much of a barker...except when he has to go back to his kennel...after a few minutes he will quiet down. He just isn't a lover of a crate - so he would do better with a family that will allow him to truly be part of their home. He is scheduled to be neutered by our vet in September. He can go home with a spay contract 🙂 He is waiting for his loving home! Adoption Fee is $350 He is up to date on vaccines and has had a wellness exam, heart worm tested, fecal test, and micro-chipped. Applications are required before meeting a dog. Rosie was found alongside the road...abandoned. Her wonderful foster mom is looking for the perfect family for Rosie. Could you be the family to continue providing the love she deserves? From her foster mom: Fall in love with me: I am Rosie; a blind (genetic) Great Pyrenees mix who will be your steadfast companion. My foster mom says my spirit is the most gentle she has ever known. I am totally house trained and love sleeping on my padded quilt by the door; all 65 pounds of me. I eat twice a day; do my fenced yard perimeter checks several times a day and spend the rest of the time relaxing! How I love being petted or brushed; massages by my foster mom are the best! I have almost forgotten that someone tossed me from a car and that I was so very hungry in late March…my blindness was the least of my worries and then, by a miracle, I was rescued…and now I am dreaming of my furever home...being loved in a quiet environment with a fenced yard where I can walk safely without the activity of young children. Come and see me; you won’t believe how far I have come with love and safe haven! I will 'see you’ in your gentle and peaceful presence. I want to be your furever girl. Are you the 'special' family that will love me? Adoption Fee is $350 She is up to date on vaccines and has had a wellness exam, heart worm tested, fecal test, and micro-chipped. Alex is a beautiful German Shepherd mix. People are always stopping her foster mom during walks to say how pretty she is! She is also very smart and a quick learner. She has learned to sit and wait before being released to come out of her crate even with the door open. She also sits and waits to eat her food and to go outside. She learned very quickly to stay off the furniture. She is in obedience training and is learning to heel very nicely. She is incredibly intelligent ...and SWEET. She enjoys a good bully stick and raw marrow bones. She is food motivated but shows no guarding. She has a lot of energy but walks well on a leash and loves to play ball and tug of war to burn energy. Afterward, she is always down for a good belly rub. She is also, curious, friendly, and confident around people but is probably too exuberant for young children. She is in a home with teens right now. While she gets attached to her humans, she is a flight risk due to her love of chasing deer. She just can't help herself when she sees them! Therefore, a sturdy fence is a must. She initially reacted to other dogs during walks by barking repeatedly and pulling, however, her foster mom has been working with her on this and Alex has improved greatly! Alex has played with other dogs in doggy daycare without incident. Even so, a home with no other dogs would be best for her. Are you the family that is the perfect fit for Alex? Adoption Fee is $350 She is up to date on vaccines and has had a wellness exam, heart worm tested, fecal test, and micro-chipped. THE DOGS IN PHOTO ARE NOT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION Do you want to care for another dog? Are you home during the day? Canine Humane Network is looking for foster homes for its rescue dogs. Fostering a dog is one of the most rewarding experiences you can have. By taking a homeless dog temporarily into your home you are giving your foster dog the time he needs to be ready for adoption and saving him from terrible conditions or in many cases, euthanasia. In addition, you are helping us learn more about the dog so he can end up in the best possible permanent home. Lastly, you are socializing the dog to a home environment and providing him with him love and attention, helping your foster dog to grow in confidence and become a happy, well adjusted pet! So what exactly does fostering entail? When you become a foster, you agree to take a homeless dog into your home and provide care, love and shelter while the adoption team finds a perfect forever home for your visitor. CHN provides you with all of the food, supplies and support you need; all you need is a passion for helping dogs in need! If you are interested in fostering a dog in need, please click the link below and fill out a new foster application! We can’t wait for you to become part of our team! http://www.caninehumane.org/copy-of-foster-application NOTE: You will be REQUIRED to pass a home visit prior to your being accepted as a foster home.
